The Process

Many contemporary photographs are shaped long after the shutter is released — composited, digitally altered, or heavily manipulated to create an image that may no longer reflect a single captured moment. My work takes a different approach.

Each photograph begins on 35mm film, where exposure, timing, light, and composition must come together in-camera. Rather than relying on digital reconstruction, the image is produced with minimal digital interference, preserving the character of the original negative and the integrity of the moment as it was physically captured.

This analog process gives each print a sense of authenticity, restraint, and permanence. The result is not a digitally manufactured image, but a photograph grounded in craft, patience, and the discipline of seeing before the frame is taken.
